
Volunteers come from a variety of backgrounds and provide skills training, technical consultancy and general support. You can make a real difference to people’s lives by getting involved in our community-based projects in the rural areas. Volunteers will participate in a number of community-based activities. Each day, volunteers meet at the projects' head office, take part in daily discussions, and develop daily strategies and follow-up on the projects' current plans. As the Care and Support Project's primary aim is offer basic needs to orphans and other vulnerable children, households or institution, taking care of orphans and/or other vulnerable children, volunteers will travel to the rural communities - accompanying members of the staff. Some activities include: distributing basic supplies (such as food, soap and clothes, beddings, administering medication, as well as assisting on a housing project, helping complete or build a new classroom for a village school and houses for vulnerable families as well as protecting a water sources or providing rain water harvesting facilities to schools and health units.
There are no specific qualifications needed for this particular project. However, volunteers interested in participating in this project should have a passion for caring for others and a willingness to share their time, energy and compassion with these most vulnerable families in the rural setting.
